Blackjack is probably one of the oldest card games ever created.  It originated from France, and the game was created as a form of pastime.  Its popularity traveled to other countries that the game of blackjack became a part of family games, especially in Western countries. It is often popular during the holidays when families get together to celebrate the season and play blackjack.

The game of blackjack is not that complicated that even a child can learn to play it, but you have to remember though that, to outwit your opponents, you should have strategies.  Blackjack is one of the few games that you can play and win by applying the various mathematical principles, especially probability.

Blackjack Strategies 

The primary strategy that one should use when playing the game of blackjack is counting, of course.  Another strategy is knowing the right time to make a hit in order to beat the dealer.  Here are some of the points you can use when you’re holding these following hands:

1.         If your card total is 5, 6, 7 or 8, then you should make a hit regardless of the hand value of the dealer.

2.         If your card total is 9, then you should bet your money twice. But if the dealer has 3 to 6, make a hit.

3.         If your card total is 10 to 11 and the dealer’s card total is 2 to 9, then you should double your bet.  Otherwise, make a hit.

4.         If your card total is 12 and the dealer’s hand is 2 or 3, then make hit.  If the dealer’s hand is 4, 5 or 6, then take a slower pace and stand.

No matter how knowledgeable you are in blackjack, if you have the opportunity to make a hit, then don’t waste any opportunity because it might be your last.  Mastering the basic strategies in playing blackjack is essential to increase your potential and chances of winning.

The Winning Tips in Blackjack 

In every game, one must create a certain strategy that effectively works.  In blackjack, you don’t need to memorize any moves, but you only need to be smart in making the right decisions for every round.

Keep in mind that in order for you to win the game, you must have at least 21, 20 or 19 in your hand and you must win over the dealer. More importantly, you have to learn how to manage your money and adapt to the gambling environment.
